I am a Yoruba man. If a Hausa or Igbo person is interpreting my words, it may not be correctâ – Senator Fadahunsi speaks after honoring police invitation
Senator Francis Fadahunsi has insisted that the comment he made in the viral video was misinterpreted by people who do not understand Yoruba.
Recall that singer Davido, on Tuesday, August 13, posted a video of the Senator calling for the ‘’k!lling’ of Accord Party members ahead of the August 15 governorship election in Osun state.
Following the outrage over his comment, the state police command invited him for questioning. While leaving the command headquarters, Fadanhusi spoke to newsmen insisting that his comment was misconstrued by those who do not speak and understand the Yoruba language.
‘’I have met the police, and I have told them what I said, not what the one manipulated by these mischievous interpreters of the Yoruba language. I am a Yoruba man. I spoke in Yoruba. If an Igbo r Hausa man is interpreting Yoruba to me, automatically….Yoruba means a lot of many things.
I said between now and Saturday, we should k!ll them with our votes. Go and look at the video” he said
